NOTE : ADJUSTED SCHEDULE FOR TODAY

To allow time for staff training, MAS will open 2 hours late on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. MAS will be open from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

We request that all owners surrendering pets and community members bringing in stray animals call 636-1416 to schedule an appointment to bring them in on another day.

I Lost My PetI Want to Adopt

Welcome to Memphis Animal Services

At Memphis Animal Services, we are proud to serve the city of Memphis as its municipal animal services and sheltering agency. Our team of compassionate staff, fosters, and volunteers care for about 9,000 pets a year in the shelter and in foster homes and help more than 4,000 families a year keep their pets, rehome their pets, and help lost pets through our Pet Resource Center. Thanks to support from both inside and outside our community, we are now saving around 86% of the pets in our care. We hope you will join us and get involved in saving the lives of Memphis dogs, cats, and other pets!

People Helping Pets

How do we save all these pets? The answer is PEOPLE. People like you want to help, and we need you to make it happen! You can help pets by adopting, fostering, volunteering, donating, and getting the word out about pets in need.

People Helping People

When people struggle, pets struggle. That’s why we help not just pets, but their people, too. Our Pet Resource Center assists thousands of families each year by providing resources like pet food, veterinary care, supplies, and more. No pet should lose their home for preventable reasons.
