Group VolunteeringWe welcome the opportunity to share our mission with corporate, school, and other groups. We offer a few different ways groups can volunteer. Please check out our group opportunities, and if you’d like to book a date with us (available Tuesdays through Fridays), fill out our Group Volunteering Request Form. Please allow us 2-3 weeks notice for group volunteering requests.
Dog Field Trips
This is our favorite way for groups to get involved at MAS, because it gets shelter dogs out of the stressful kennel environment for a few hours and helps us get new photos and bio information for them, which often helps get them adopted. We can accommodate up to 25 people (18+ only) with our Dog Field Trips.
DIY Outdoor Cat Shelter Building Workshop
If you have a budget to purchase some inexpensive supplies, and your team is handy, you can use our conference room (or your own space) to build outdoor cat shelters for community cats to stay safe and warm in the winter. Our Pet Resource Center will give them out to community cat caretakers who need them.
Enrichment Food/Toy Prep
Groups of 15 or less of any age can volunteer in our conference room prepping enrichment toys for our dogs and/or cats.
Other Service Project
If your team has particular skills and you have an idea for a service project, let us know in the Group Volunteering Request Form! We’re open to your suggestions.
