Keeping pets healthy. Keeping families together.

Project Pawtect

Who We are

Project Pawtect is Memphis Animal Services’ community outreach and prevention program designed to keep pets healthy and in the homes they love. In partnership with All 4’s Rescue League, the program provides free vaccines, microchips, pet supplies, and education by bringing essential pet care directly into neighborhoods where access to services may be limited. As part of this work, Project Pawtect engages directly in communities to identify loose or unowned pets and prioritize reuniting them with their families whenever possible.

At its core, Project Pawtect is about access, compassion, and community partnership. By working alongside All 4’s Rescue League, community partners, and volunteers, the program focuses on prevention through care, connection, and early intervention. This approach helps reduce shelter intake, supports responsible pet ownership, and strengthens the bond between people and their pets while contributing to safer, healthier neighborhoods across Memphis.
