Available Pets

MAS no longer maintains a separate “urgent” list. Instead, outcome planning begins when a pet enters our care, with teams working toward reunification, adoption, foster, rescue, transport, or other available pathways.

 

If a pet is scheduled for euthanasia, they will be added to the Pending Euthanasia list at least 24 hours in advance. (VIEW LIST HERE) Adoption and foster placement must be completed by the end of the day before the scheduled euthanasia date. Rescue partners have until 9 a.m. the day of scheduled euthanasia to commit.

 

If you are interested in adopting, the best way to meet a dog is to visit Memphis Animal Services in person during adoption hours. You may also submit an inquiry if you have questions about a specific dog.

However, we do also have dogs that are in foster care and not located at the shelter. If you are interested in one of these pets, please submit an application here!
