MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis Animal Services (MAS) is pleased to announce the hiring of Dr. Mary Manspeaker, DVM, MS, as its new full-time veterinarian, beginning November 3, 2026. A Memphis native with more than 30 years of veterinary experience, Dr. Manspeaker brings a wealth of knowledge and a longstanding commitment to animal welfare.

“We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Manspeaker to the Memphis Animal Services family,” said MAS Director Suzy Hollenbach. “Her passion for animal welfare, combined with her expertise in shelter medicine and veterinary forensics, makes her an invaluable addition to our team. We look forward to the positive impact we will make together for the animals and people of Memphis.”

Dr. Manspeaker graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002 and holds a master’s degree in Veterinary Forensic Science and a Graduate Certificate in Shelter Medicine from the University of Florida.
