Some Memphis Animal Services pets are currently living in foster homes while they wait for their forever families. Foster homes allow pets to relax outside of the shelter and give our team valuable insight into their personality, behavior, and needs. 

If you are interested in adopting a pet that is in foster care, please complete the inquiry form below. This form helps us learn more about your home environment, household members, activity level, and the type of pet you are hoping to adopt. 

The foster family caring for the pet will review this information to help determine if the animal may be a good match for your home. One of the important roles of our foster families is helping guide potential adopters and ensuring each pet is placed in a safe, loving environment where they can thrive. 

If it appears to be a good fit, the foster family will contact you within 72 hours of receiving your inquiry to answer questions and help arrange a meet and greet. 

Please note that submitting an inquiry does not place a hold on a pet. Adoptions are finalized at Memphis Animal Services.
